Here's a review of the actual documentary.
First of all, it's crazy how Mike and Bryan just came up with the show and pitch with so little time and managed to talk about it for 2 hours or something. I guess it shows how special it was since they were so confident in it. (SPOILERS: It turned out excellent.)
Second, the way they do the animation and actually treat their overseas animators is incredible. People should respect their talented artists and talk to them as people, not just workers.
Third, people who use this to review the show without seeing this actual documentary make me sad. It's on YouTube, go and watch it!
If you haven't seen the show, let me tell you: if I wasn't so adventurous, I'd glady forget all of my favourite films and watch this show for the rest of my life.
SCORE: 7/10

I guess I'm using this to log the show, and what can I say? It was brilliant. First season was already great, but it just kept getting better and better as the show progressed. The final season was one of the best things I've ever seen. I'm sorry James Cameron, but this is my Avatar.

So, I finally watched Avatar. I'm only about 15 years late. Once you get past the first couple tonally-confused episodes where it can't decide if it wants to be a kid's show or something much more mature, it instantly branches out into one of the greatest shows ever made. There really isn't anything I can say about Avatar: The Last Airbender that hasn't already been said.
It's impossible not to fall in love with this show. Every character is fully fleshed-out and brilliantly written, the animation is spectacular, the humor works really well, the action goes ridiculously hard for a "kids show", it has some of the greatest character arcs of all time; it's just pure lighting-in-a-bottle perfection. Not to…

Zuko is literally the greatest fictional character to exist, and he's in the greatest TV show ever. -

Damnit, Letterboxd. Just put the finale on here. It's technically a movie.
This and Stranger Things are my two favorite TV shows of all time.
This show is incredible. You fall in love with each and every character. The action is fantastic. Great music. Spectacular animation. It has excellent humor. Some of the best character arcs of all time.
Not much to expand on without spoiling anything. Just fucking great.

Review for the TV series Avatar The Last Airbender
“I know sometimes it hurts more to hope and it hurts more to care. But you have to promise me that you won’t stop caring.”
The world is a broken place created by broken people and there’s no sense to bring balance into it before it can get worse. Not unless we recognize the destiny that’s lied in front of us and have the people along side us who understand our pain, our suffering, our strive to be better that we can achieve balance within the world and peace within ourselves. A rarity in the medium of animation and the world of art has something that can be appreciated, loved, beautifully…

What the fuck Letterboxd. I literally wrote a long review for each season, only to see the series and my reviews removed from the app
Anyways I don’t feel like writing 3 different reviews again so here we go:
This is a great series all in all that improves each season as the characters continue to develop and get more mature, and as series gets more and more mature it doesn’t lose it's essence.
My favorite character for each season:
S1: Aang
S2: uncle Iroh
S3: ZukoMy rating for each season:
S1: 3.5/5
S2: 4/5
S3: 4.5/5
Series rating: 4/5 -
